Splish, Splash

Matthew loves bathtime. When Matt goes to put him in the tub he kicks his little legs so hard and reminds me of a frog. It's not just bathtime though, being in the pool is another favorite of his. He's not even scared to put his face in! Tomorrow swim lessons start again and I'm sure, if he understood, he can't wait. I took a little video of him splashing in the tub tonight. It is the funniest thing and in the process the whole bathroom gets a good soaking.

You can also hear him practicing his new "babble". He goes "yeah, yeah yeah"

Woefully Behind

Forgive my lack of posts lately. We were on vacation for two weeks and it takes a week to prepare to go away and a week to recover from being away. I have some posts forming in my head I will get to eventually here. It's feast or famine in this blog.

I thought you'd enjoy a quick video of one of the skills Matthew learned while being away. He learned how to drink from a straw in a cup, use a fork and do this:

Excuse our messy stairs and laundry baskets everywhere, we're still unpacking.

Ah-Choo

Tonight while cooking dinner Matthew invented a new game. He sneezed. And I said "God bless you" and then he did this...

All He Wants is a Friend

Matthew is on a daily quest to make friends with his kitty cats. They do not want to make friends with him. He follows them around and tries to touch them. And his biggest thrill in life is when he's sitting in bed with us on weekend mornings and one of them jumps up on the bed. You'd think it was Christmas morning.

Oh hey Leiya, wait for me!

Okay, let's go this way.

Oh okay, now we're going this way? Whatever you want, good buddy, I'm right behind you.

You can't get away from me you silly kitty.

And the winner is...

Not mommy and daddy. Matthew is still awake. If you check the timestamp of this post it's close to 10:30 pm. We have no clue why he's still awake, he just is. We put him to bed, said our goodnights and walked out the door only for him to cry. And the crying lasted for 2 hours as long as we were out of the room. Getting him to sleep when he's not ready isn't worth it to us when we have no where to be in the morning so he's currently doing laps around the living room.

Perhaps he just couldn't wait until the morning to see who won The Next Food Network Star...
